Show 'l4? Green Ball To be Outstanding Social Event Here . An entirely new setting for the Gold and Green ball is being planned plan-ned this year, according to committeemen com-mitteemen in charge. The entrance en-trance of the queen who will be accompanied by a king this year, will be made in a new and different differ-ent manner. Special decorations will feature the stage setting for the king, queen and attendants, each of whom will be specially costumed for the occasion. In addition to the pageant, a demonstration of the M. I. A. dances is being planned for the evening. The best music available has been secured and a general good time is promised all. The queens and kings selected by popularity contests in each ward are: Miss Gene Ullock. George Bird, First ward! Florence Bramall, Don Anderson, Second ward; Sara Marie Binks and Lawrence Law-rence Clark, Third ward; lone Averett, Lamar Weight, Fourth ward; Bernice Johnson and Russell Rus-sell Holley, Mapleton. Each of the queens and kings will be accompanied accom-panied by three attendants from each ward. There will also be the trumpeters. |
