Show - ; ; I Local : Emil Oastlund. manager of the local theater, who recently returned return-ed from an eleven weeks' trip to Norway, Denmark and Sweden, will give highlight of his visit at the regular Thursday night meeting meet-ing of the Kiwanis club. Dr. G. 1 G. Neill will be toastmaster during dur-ing the evening and a program including dance numbers by Miss Winters' class of Provo also will be featured. Participating in the recreational program of the Brigram Young university summer quarter, Miss Priscilla Nielson and Miss Luell Straw, ot Springville, visited Boulder Boul-der dam on Ju' 5, in company with 35 other students in a bus. Hart of the "Y" was in charge of the excursion. Another member was Jay Dash, director of the Ned Rayburn Studios of dancing, New York City, who has been a visiting visit-ing teacher at B. Y. U. The Mapleton Novice 4-H club held their weekly meeting at the home of their leader, Miss Delia Houtz, last Thursday afternoon. The officers a're: Donna Whitney, Whit-ney, presiden; La Veta Houtz, vice president; Lois Johnson, secretary; sec-retary; Elna Whiting, song and cheer leader; Florence Bird, reporter, re-porter, and Vera Stone, chairman of the social committee. They spent a profitable afternoon sewing sew-ing on their hot dish holders. |
