Show Hereford Auction Sale Announced at Ogden November 1 Under the sponsorship of the livestock committee of the Ogden chamber of commerce, Herbert Chandler, one of the country's leading breeders of Hereford cattle, cat-tle, will hold an auction sale at Ogden, Utah, November 1, 1935. His offering will consist of 140 farmer who raised corn or hogs this year whether he signed a contract con-tract or not. It is hoped that a substantial number of producers will vote. selected individuals from his herd of 1000 registered Herefords at Baker, Oregon. Included in this sale will be practically all of his 1935 show herd, which has ranked as one of the top herds, in prizes won, at leading livestock shows and fairs in the country this sea-eon. sea-eon. His offering includes 30 bulls, a number of which have already al-ready been winners in the show ring and others of equal promise, as well as range bulls of exceptional excep-tional quality, and 110 females, consisting of 76 bred young cows and two year old heifers and 34 open heifers. Mr. Chandler has long been recognized as one of the most constructive breeders in the United Unit-ed States. His cattle are knowr because of the ruggedness and j vitality they combine with type I and quality, so suitable for west-j west-j em range conditions. He has been a director of the I Ogden livestock show for a num-i num-i ber of years and has exhibited al that show since 1922. |
