Show LEO ROBERTSON NEW BISHOP OF FOURTHW A R D David H. Smith of the presiding presid-ing bishopric, represented the church general authorities at Kolob stake quarterly conference, here Saturday and Sunday. The Fourth L. D. S. ward bishopric bishop-ric was reorganized at the afternoon after-noon session, with Leo G. Robertson Robert-son sustained as bishop, Solon S. Wood, first counselor, and Howard G. Salisbury, second counselor. The retiring bishopric are, S. L. Mendenhall, A. G. Thorn and Leo G. Robertson. W.'Elmo Coffman was released as high councilman and Peter Nielson was sustained to succeed him. A. G. Thorn was sustained alternate high councilman. council-man. Max Alleman and Bert Strong, who leave November 18 and December De-cember 8, for the Argentine S. A. and the Australian L. D. S. missions, mis-sions, spoke at the afternoon meeting. meet-ing. Other speakers were President J. Emmett Bird in charge of the conference and Mrs. John Patrick, returned missionary. Music was given by the First and Second L. D. S. wards. Mrs. Kate C. Jensen of the General M. I. A. board, Salt Lake City, was the principal speaker at the Sunday night progrom, under un-der the direction of the M. I. A. |
