Show 1 I What's Doing In Kiwanis LeGrande Backman or Salt Lake City, former L. D. S. mission president in South Africa, described de-scribed in Interesting manner, the dress, customs and manners of South African people and exhibited exhib-ited a number of souvenirs from that country, in a talk at the Kiwanis birthday annive r s a r y program and luncheon last Thursday Thurs-day night. A toast to the clubmen was given by Mrs. Floyd Miner and to the ladies by J. Y. Bearnson. Mrs. Sundwall of Provo entertained enter-tained with violin numbers and Mrs. F. C. Packard gave vocal solos. Community singing was led by Carl Nelson. It was ladies' night and widows of former club members also were invited as special guests. W. W. Clyde, club vice-president, was toaslnuiHler during the evening. ! There will be no Kiwanis club meeting on Thursday night. In its place a business meeting to complete the organization of a chamber of commerce is scheduled schedul-ed for 7:30 p. m., at Memorial hall. |
