Show Contractors Hold State Mechanics Training School Here Wiln more than a hundred contractors, e n g i neers and mechanics from various parts of the state in attendance, a school of instruction on the construction construc-tion and operation of modern machinery, was conducted here. Tuesday, under the direction of Landes Tractor and Equipment company of Salt ijike City. The school began at 9 a. m., I at Memorial hall, and continued throughout the day, with a lunch served at noon by company representatives. rep-resentatives. Will Larson, field mechanic for the machine concern, was in charge of arrangements for the school, which in addition to several sev-eral talks and numerous discussions discus-sions by visiting mechanics, also featured some very fine moving picture slides on modern machinery, machin-ery, how if is manufactured and operated. O. Thorn, a local contractor, con-tractor, expressed appreciation for the entertainment and fine demonstrations, dem-onstrations, and stated that it was perhaps the largest gathering gather-ing of its kind possible in this size of town, in the state. The company selected Springville in which to hold the school because of the large number of contractors contrac-tors and others interested in the advancement of modern construction construc-tion equipment. |
