Show RED CROSS AIDIN CHILI The local chapter of the Red Cross has received word that the American Red Cross gave prompt aid through contribution of $11,-000 $11,-000 in cash to the Chilean Red Cross and by sending four airplane air-plane loads of medical and hospital hos-pital supplies. Accordingly, President Roosevelt Roose-velt has issued a statement to the nation calling- attention to ! the tragic situation and asking ! that money contributions be sent to the American Red Cross, according ac-cording to the letter received here. It suggests in the letter which was received by Mrs. Mary Fin-ley, Fin-ley, local vice chairman, that these facts be made known to the public and w'nile there will be no further drive locally, any financial assistance will be appreciated appre-ciated and helpful at this time. A number of Springville citizens citi-zens attended a Red Cross disaster dis-aster institute at the Roberts hotel rtn Monday, when timely discussions and information was given on the methods by which relief is distributed through the Red Cross to disaster - stricken areas. Those who attended the meetings meet-ings from Springville. were G. W. Mendcnhall and Mrs. Mary J.
