On Saturday, January 9, one of the largest bargain days in the history of Springvillc is being" sponsored by the business concerns of the town for the benefit of the townspeople and to acquaint them with better values found at home. The sale is a part of a campaign sponsored by the business men of the city, under the direction of the business standards and promotion committee of the Kiwanis club, to increase an interest in home town trade. At the bargain day's sale Saturday, Satur-day, and during the next several months, tickets will be given, as in the past, with each 50 cent purchase, pur-chase, to apply on numerous fine gifts to be given away at social junctions. The first of the series of social functions will be held in the form of a dance, January 21, at Memorial Mem-orial hall, when a radio and many other costly gifts will be given away. A list of these gifts will De found in the Herald next week. The dance is but one of a series of s'imilar entertainments planned, plan-ned, the dates of which will also oe announced later. In anticipation of these fine entertainments, local citizens arc urged to patronize their home town merchants and receive their tickets with each 50 cent purchase.
