Show DOGS HARM DEER, SHEEP Stray dog's are doing considerable consider-able damage to deer and sheep in the vicinity of the east foothills foot-hills and sections on the outskirts ' of the city, according to complaints com-plaints from game wardens and local stockmen. Some five or six hundred deer have come from the higher ranges to seek food where snow is not so deep, and during the past several sev-eral nights and also during the day. have been the object of raids by stray dogs. The deer are poor and in most cases too weak to resist the dog attacks. The citizens of Springvillc arc therefore asked to keep their dogs from straying away from their premises with a warning that if they are found preying upon the deer, they will be shot. Last year, it is pointed out. considerable damage resulted from st ray dogs attacking sheep herds. Citizens are warned beforehand that doga found near sheep herds this year, will be killed. |
