Show MRS. A. PIERCE SERVICES HELD Well attended funeral services for Mrs. Silvia Winn Pierce, wife of Andrew Pierce of this city, and a well known church worker of the community, who died last Monday, were held Thursday in the First ward chapel. Bishop A. G. Peterson was in charge. The music, all request numbers, was given by Mr. and Mrs. Guy Brown, who sang the opening selection, se-lection, accompanied by Mrs. Lola Weight: Miss Nellie Weight of Salt Lake City, who gave a vocal solo; Delmar Dickson of the high school music department, a violin solo, accompanied by Miss lone Averett; Mrs. Floss Phillips and Miss Weight, a vocal duet, with accompaniment by Mrs. Mary Bird. The speakers were William T Tew, Jr., Mrs. Melinda Sumsion, Relief Society president; J. C. Slanpi, President J. Emmett Bird and Bishop Peterson, who also gave a brief history of her life. The invocation was by Harvey Hutchinsen, and the benediction by Frank Sanford of the bishopric. bishop-ric. James . B. Burrows dedicated the grave at the Evergreen cemetery. ceme-tery.
