Attending from Sprjng-ville Sprjng-ville were Mrs. Roy Cates, Mrs Inez Chader, Mrs. Flora Maiben, Mrs. Rose Roylance, Mrs. Louise Whiting, Mrs. Faye Cranmer Mrs. Olive Miller, Mrs. Olive Porter, Por-ter, Mrs. Bell Sumsion, Mrs. Ann Johnson. f Members of the Old Friends club were delightfully entertained Friday night at the home of Mrs. .Thelma Chcrrington. A 'delicious luncheon and cards featured the evening's . entertainment. During the latter, Mrs. Lillie Hume wa awarded high score prize for members and Mrs. Floss Phillips-for Phillips-for the guests. Mrs. Margaret Ryan Ry-an received the consolation prize Others in attendance were Mrs Vanza Mann, Mrs. Reta Kellcy Mrs. Gertrude Clements, Mrs Muriel Robertson, Mrs. Leola Swing, Sw-ing, Mrs. LaVon Averett, Mrs. Emma Rowland and Mrs. Harry Lee, the latter two being guests Mrs. Ann Johnson was hostess to members of the Fidelity club at her home Friday evening. A tasty luncheon was served early in the evening after which cards were enjoyed. An attractive Easter Eas-ter color scheme was carried out in room and table decorations during the evening. Prizes for tht. card games went to Mrs. Olive Miller, Mrs. Lavon Scott and Mrs .Louise Whiting. Eight memberf attended. Members of the Mothers Study club will meet Friday afternoon with Mrs. Eva Crandall. An interesting in-teresting program is planned foi the occasion and all members arc urged to be present. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Noakes and baby have been spending the past few days with Mr. and Mrs W. I. Noakes in this city, the former having recently returned from California where he had spent the past several months. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wing anc family of Bingham were guests during the weekend of Mr. and Mrs. i' red Wing Sr. The former just recently returned from a Sail Lalte City, hospital where he underwent un-derwent a critical operation tc have his leg amputated. The Payson Legion auxiliary last Wednesday evening presented present-ed an especially outstanding program pro-gram at a meeting of the local unit. Mrs. Bell Sumsion, vice-president, vice-president, was in charge of the meeting. The entertainment featured fea-tured the presentation of an operetta oper-etta by Chopin with a la.rge group of singers under the direction of Mrs. L. D. Stewart taking part Miss Leonore Sterling, of Pay- son, was the reader and Mr. Wil-lardson Wil-lardson accompanist. In addition to the fine musical program, Mrs Catherine Betts gave an interesting interest-ing talk on "National Detense." The meeting was enjoyed by more than fifty members and guests Mrs. Emma Long, Mrs. Delia Clark, Mrs. Lillie Hume, and Mrs. .Thelma Clark were hostesses. announced also that the annual Mothers' day program to be given giv-en by the auxiliary is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon May 6 beginningvat 2 p. m., rather than on May 13 as was scheduled. ' ' ' I The Home Culture club anuual art tea is scheduled for Wednes-. Wednes-. day, April -22, at the high school with a talk on the current exhibit by V. O. Hafen, local artist. Members Mem-bers of the Nineteenth Century club of Provo have been invited to attend as special guests. Mrs, V. M. Sevy and Mrs. Blanch Hales will be hostesses for the occasion. Mr. and Mrs. William M. Wad-doups Wad-doups who arrived here recently from the Hawaiian islands to visit vis-it their daughter, Mrs. R. W. Bradford ana family, have speni the past few clays with a son Thomas M. Waddoups, in Washington, Wash-ington, D. C. They plan to return here Friday. Members of the Home Culture club were pleasantly entertained last BYiday afternoon at the home of Mrs. C. F. Packard, Mrs. Arthur Ar-thur Condie acting as hostess Secretary Helen Thorpe was in charge of the meeting. A paper on "Art" by Mrs. Ruby Christen-sen Christen-sen featured the program and Mrs. Mary Bird was welcomed as a new member in the club, alsc gave two piano selections. A report re-port of the district convention at Lehi was given by Mrs. G. L Barron. A nicely arranged lunch was served in conclusion to about 22 members and guests. Entre Nous club members were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald .Thorpe at their home Saturday night. Following a dainty and artistically ar-tistically arranged Easter lunch cards were enjoyed.
