Herbert Howarth of Denver, Colorado, has been obtained as a judge for the Utah county fair horse show, held jointly with the rodeo, and the horse exhibit in the county rair. We are fortunate fortun-ate to have Mr. Howarth with us, as he is recognized as one of the best horse judges in the United States. Mr. Edward M- Banks, aupci-visor aupci-visor of horse pulling, says that horse pulling is limited to Utah county horses again this year. Until 1938, horse pulling was open to teams from anywhere in the state, Kit last year our pulling pull-ing was very successful with only Utah county teams. In 1938 only two weight classes were recognized, recog-nized, but this year first, second and third prizes will go to horses in three weights: Under 2700 pounds; 2700 to 3000 pounds, and over 3000 pounds. The prizes in all three classes will be $30, liist; $20, -second, and $10, third. |
