Show 4-H Club News Members of the Jolleyettes 4-H club of Mapleton, including Wanda Wan-da Holley, Elaine Whiting, Orpha D. Bird, Hannah Jean Menden-hall, Menden-hall, Dorothy. Swazy, ' Yvonne M'ackley, recently returned from an enjoyable 4-day trip to Kelley's Grove in Hobble Creek canyon. The club advisor, Mrs. Elaine Nielson and her sister, Miss Delma Hardy of Provo, acted act-ed as chaperones. . Among the cleverly arranged events of the past week was the fairy party given by the Jolly Team 4-H club marking the conclusion of their sewing work for this season. The girls took their dolls to acquaint them with Utah's queen of dolldom, Rosa-bell Rosa-bell Pengree, at the home of Miss Cleo Pierce. Rosabell's wardrobe of numerous dresses and other wearing apparel was exhibited tog-ether with her many other souvenirs, and. Miss Pierce explained in interesting manner, a few of the many and varied experiences which have come recently re-cently to the famous doll. The girls were spellbound with the fine entertainment, which was climaxed with the serving of a ''-unty fairy lunch. Mrs. J. C. N'elson and Mrs. Verl Jones, j supervisors, were guests of honor. ; Members of the Oe-Ce-Ca 4-H club, under the direction of Mrs. Ila Cranmer, met Thursday afternoon af-ternoon at t'he conclusion of ! their sewing classes this season. I Articles made were judged. Those ! in attendance were Betty Roy-lance, Roy-lance, Phylis Reynolds, Carma Mendenhail, NanLee Reynolds, Dolly Jean Smith, Norma Jean Beardall, Dona Hatch, Shirley Blackett, Billie Jean Beetleson. The Second year 4-H club of Mapleton, with their leader, Mrs. Bernice Averett, and Mr. and Mrs. Jess Averett, enjoved a week end trip to Vivian Park in Provo canyon. Horseback riding, swimming, hiking and other sports were featured with the following members attending: Shirley and Margaret Johnson, j Genevieve Jensen, Beverly Allen, Coleen Hurst, Aleen Hatfield, Joyce Whiting, Gladys Garlick, and Christie Sorenson. |
