Show RECREATION PROGRAM IS i OUTLINED A recreational program in the form of supervised play will get underway in this community this week, it was announced today. Principal W. W. Brockbank of the high school is general supervisor and the activities are under the direction of Miss Margaret Pierce and Wilford Mower. The program to be carried out included volley ball, horse shoe games, tennis and other games for men and boys as well as for women wom-en and children. The tennis courts will be open at all hours with no one allowed to participate in the game longer than one hour, so that all may have a chance to play. The high school campus on which the major events outlined will be carried on, will be open from 9 a. m. to 6 p. m. daily for boys and girls and in the evening for adult games and practicing. Parents of the community are urged to take advantage of the supervised program made possible through the cooperation of the city and PWA, and send their children to the recreational center. A tentative schedule has been worked out by the. directors for the project as follows: FIRST QUARTER SOFTBALL SCHEDULE All games to be played on Tuesday Tues-day and Friday at 6:30 p. m. Kiwanis vs. First ward elders, July 24, campus, lower diamond. Firemen vs. Third ward, July 31, campus upper diamond. Second ward vs. Fourth ward elders, eld-ers, July 31, Campus lower diamond. dia-mond. Kiwanis vs. Second ward elders, August 4th, upper diamond. Firemen vs. lTourth ward, August 4th, lower diamond. First ward vs. Fourth ward elders, August 11, lower diamond. The rules to be the same as baseball rules with these exceptions: excep-tions: 1. Shoes with spikes will not be allowed. 2. Standard indoor bats. 3. Base runner must hold his base until after pitched ball passes .Some plate. 4. Out-seam balls will be used. 5.
