Show AVERETTS HOLD REUNION Approximntpty 158 members of the Averett-Farngworth family met in an annual reunion Saturday Satur-day and Sunday, at Balsam Park, Hobble Creek canyon. President Evon Averett was in charge of the entertainment. Despite rainy weather the crowd enjoyed a program of sports and other activities. Fishing, shooting and pulling contests were held with prizes awarded the winners. A program with prizes offered for the best number, was also an en-, en-, tcrtaining featunre. Biackett and Mrs. Zelma Parker genealogy chairmen; chair-men; Tom and Reed Averett, sports; Mrs. Theo Thorpe and Mrs. Reed Clements, program; Ed Averett, Aver-ett, camp manager. John E. Averett and Hardy Averett, Av-erett, brothers, and the oldest members at the reunion are the honorary presidents of the organization. |
