SUNDAY SALE OF BEER ASKED Lifting the ban on the sale of beer Sundays in Utah county may result following the visit of a delegation of retail beer dispensers dispens-ers to the county commissioners Monday morning. The delegation was headed by State Senator John E. Booth of Spanish Fork, who acted as spokesman. Commissioners Hilton A. Robertson, Rob-ertson, J. Will Gillman and C. H. White will hold a conference with County Attorney W. Stanley Dun-ford Dun-ford and Sheriff E. G. Durnell concerning possibdities of revoking revok-ing that part of the county ordinance ord-inance which forbids the sale, of beer on Sundays. It is manifestly unfair to forbid for-bid retailers m the county outside of cities to sell on Sunday, while i a short distance away, the retail- f ers within the cities can sell beer on Sundays, it was pointed by Mr. Booth. It was stated further that it is possible to purchase beer by the case or otherwise in bulk on Saturday and take it to the can- j yons to drink alongside the retail-1 er who is forbidden Sunday sales. ; Twelve men appeared in the delegation. Thus far there are 10 retailers who have obtained lie-' enses to sell beer in the county, ; outside the cities, according to ! County Clerk Frank Salisbury. They are: Lois J. Holman, andj Chris Halverson, Thistle; Willie ! Williams and W. E. Bartlett, Provo canyon; C. D. Pace, Grand View; L. E. Bush and C. H. Ar- |
