Show LOCAL COUPLE OBSERVE 50 ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum B. Perry well known in Springvilie and Mapleton, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Tuesday, with a family gathering in the evening at their home in Mapleton. Mr. Perry was born in Springvilie Spring-vilie August 13, 1859, a son of Stephan C. and Mary Boggs Perry. He has always been active in L. D. S. church work, and in civic affairs af-fairs of the community in which he has lived nearly fifty years. He filled a mission in the western west-ern states in 1908 and '09, and is now a high councilman in Kolob stake. He was chairman of the ; old folks' comittee of Mapleton for 15 years. Mr. Perry was one of the successful farmers of his community, retiring from this occupation oc-cupation only in recent years. Mrs. Luella R. Pery was born here December 25, 1868. a daughter of Loren H. and Martha Ann Edmunds Ed-munds Roundy. Prior to her recent illness she took an active part in church work, serving as president presi-dent of the primary organization for a number of years and also in the Relief presidency. Mrs. Perry is a gold star mother. The couple were marired in the Endowment home in Salt Lake March 13, 1884. One year after their mariage, they moved to Mapleton. They are the parents of six children, only one of whom is living, Mrs. Reva Curtis of Nephi. There are alsd 6 grandchildren grand-children and one great-grand child |
