Show gaurds, Van Leuvan and Harward, There was some talk at a meeting meet-ing held in Salt Lake last week of forming a junior and senior division divi-sion for basketball, junior fo, boys up to 20 years of age and senior from 20 years of age as long as they are in good standing stand-ing as "M" Men. Van Leuvan and Harward will both turn 25 this year, this being tne present age limit, and will be lost to their team. Tip -Ins Lou Johnson, former S. H. S. and B. Y. U. basketball star, is playing in the National A. A. U. basketball tournament being staged stag-ed in Kansas City this week. Lou is playing with the Denver A. C. at a guard position. To date this team is undefeated in this tourny. Lou's last appearance around here was with the Springville merchants ball club a year ago now. Grant Palfreyman and Glenn Brown, both former S. H. S. football foot-ball stars, received sweaters from the B. Y. U. this week for participating partici-pating in freshman football. Wasatch ward, winner of the i ! All-Church "M" Men basketball i ! tourney, would make any college I team play ball to beat them. This j team is made up of former high schools and amatuer stars, and present a very smooth working quint. Jack Cherrington is out for spring football at the Utah Aggie school. This kind of weather should have the boys getting the kinks out ol their baseball arms. Unless the rules for "M" Men basketball are changed at the June conference the local First ward team will lose their two |
