Show Ogden Railroad Man Wins $150,000 In Irish Sweepstakes OGDEN, Oct. 27 l'.R Ralph J. Harrell, Ogden, may be lucky today if he is a poor salesman. Harrell won a $150,000 on the Irish Sweepstake's today, but had left for San Francisco Monday "to sell part of his ticket" fellow employees said. They did not know whether he had been successful in selling an interest in the winning number, nor w:hen he wrould return. Last week Harrell's number was drawn at Dublin and became worth a few hundred dollars, whether or not his horse finished or even started today. Since the ticket stood to become worth a great deal more money if Punch, the horse Harrell drew, ran well up in the race, an Ogden lottery lot-tery ticket broker advised him that he could undoubtedly sell a share of the number. Harrell planned to ask S4.800 for the ticket. The Southern Pa- cific offices where he works had not heard from him today, and in view of the $150,000 windfall, hardly expected him to return to work at all. Harrell is 3S, unmarried. |
