Show COUNTY TAX NOTICES TO BE DELAYED Tax notices on Utah county property will be about one month later than usual in reaching the taxpayers this year. This delay is caused by the raise in assessed valuation as ordered by the state tax commission. Public hearings on the proposed raise are now being conducted by the tax commission com-mission at the City and County building in Provo, and will be completed by October 8. After the raise is entered on the tax rolls the County Auditor, Mr. Booth Sorenson, can then proceed to compute the taxes and when his work is completed, the tax rolls will be turned over to the county treasurer. This means that Mr. Jensen, the treasurer, treas-urer, can not begin the work of 1 getting out the tax notices until I he receives the rolls from the county auditor, which will be a month or more later than usual. Therefore, Utah county tax notices no-tices wi.l in all probability, not be mailed out until the early part of November. |
