Show RELIEF SOCIETY SESSIONS OPEN SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 29 U.R Mission and stake officers of the L. D. S. Women's Relief : Society, gathered here this morning- in the first meeting of the two-day conference of the society. Mrs. Louise Y. Ro"o:nson, president, presi-dent, spoke briefly, accounting for activities of the society, including in-cluding its part in the church security se-curity program, since the last meeting. Nephi L. Morris addressed a meeting of members interested in teaching topics- His subject was announced as "The Character of Jesus. ' Delegates and the public were invited to a pageant, "The House j of Israel. in the Mormon tabernacle taber-nacle this evening. More than 100 Relief Society women constituted consti-tuted the cast. Other addresses included that of Prof. Sidney Sperry, of Brig-ham Brig-ham Young university, speaking on "The Influence of Christ on I the Modern World.' |
