Show FERA APPROVES MORE PROJECTS Seven FERA projects, involving' an expenditure of $3793.82, and giving" employment to 72 men and women, have been recently approved ap-proved for the county by the state FERA administration ofifctals, and work will be immediately launched on them, according to Charles Hopkins, chairman of the county FERA board. The projects involve construction construc-tion and improvement work at Salem, the Springville high school, Genola school, Leland school, and for instruction work in clothing repair and nutrition at Payson. i Here are brief descriptions of ; the projects: Salem Addition to waterworks, involving the construction of two cement houses for protection of water intake boxes, with cement walls and lumber and shingle roofs. Amount: $623.15; employment employ-ment for 15 men. Nebo school district Construction Construc-tion of cesspool for Springville high school. Amount: $313.82, employment em-ployment for nine men. Improvement Improve-ment to Leland school grounds, construction of fence around the school grounds. Amount: $157.33, employment for five men. Improvement Im-provement of facilities of Genola school, involving the construction of a walk 60 feet by four feet, a 20-rod ditch, cesspool, and the construction con-struction and painting of a shed. Amount: $839.49, employment for 17 men. Salem Repair of electric light lines owned by Salem City, cutting cut-ting 200 cedar posts as stubs on the present poles, and hauling and installing. Amount: $1214.19, employment em-ployment for 18 men. Payson Instruction in repair of clothing and preparation of these clothing, etc., for relief work. Amount: $322.92, employment for four women. Instruction in nutrition, nutri-tion, home canning, and handling of garden products. Amount: $322.92, employment for four women. |
