Show . . CCC. Gamp News Hems BY L. K. SrriilUKK First Lieut. M. V. Hanson, who for the past year has been Camp Adjutant at 'Company 985, was transferred last week to Ihe Hot Springs camp in the Teton National Nation-al park in Wyoming. Lieut. Hansen Han-sen will be commanding c.ffirer in the camp mentioned above. We hate to lose him but wish him the best of luck in his new work. Camp F-30 boxers seem to be quite popular in Springville, and are getting their shave of anpenr-ances anpenr-ances on the boxing cards in the Memorial Hall programs. Las'i week several of the boys exhibited their wares and from what we can learn, they, had plenty to show. Some of the onlookers at Inst week's bou.s are wondering if it's dynamite or steel springs in Sid Bouck's right arm. Anyway the lad surely put his opponent to sleep and it wasn't with a rocking chair eiher. Lincoln Stookey, one of the forestry foremen, has taken up a new hobby. He has turned snake charmer. Some of the boys were quite surprised when Mr. Stookey came walking down the rood with a three-foot rattlesnake dangling from his hand. Stookey tells us he had to crawl under a rock to get his reptile friend, but in our opinion he is welcome :o that kin 1 of fun. The snake now reclines m a box under Mr. Stookey's tent and the music from the repLdo p rattles soothes him to sleep every night. Maybe this is sweet music to Stockey but this reporter h.is other opinions of what harmony really is. On Tuesday night of this week, the second ward of Provo furnished furnish-ed a program of readings, music and a short one-act skit. The boys of the camp enjoyed the program very much and invite .Mis group to come back at nny time. Dr. Martin of the li. Y. U. gnve a short talk on purtio! 'sm :ind surely gave the gang jHeniy of food 'for thought. |
