Show ROAD MEETING CALLED HERE Utah county road problems will be discussed at a meeting of the county commission and members of the Utah state road commission commis-sion in the city and county building September 5 at 4 p. m., Sylvan W. Clark, chairman of the county board, said Monday. Several suggested road improvements im-provements will be discussed, one of which will be a request by the Springville chamber of commerce that highway No. 8, running from the mouth of Spanish Fork canyon can-yon across Mapleton bench into Springville be designated an alternate alt-ernate route on highway 50, Mr. Clark stated. At a meeting with the county commission Monday afternoon, citizens from Springville and Spanish Fork discussed the proposal pro-posal pro and con. Spanish Fork's delegation objected, stating the change would lessen the number of tourists to travel through that city. Delegates from all sections of the county will be invited to attend at-tend the September 5 meeting, Mr. Clark stated. |
