Show J, F. WINGATE ELECTED TO KIWANIS OFFICE A special honor came to the Springville Kiwanis club with the election of J. F. Win gate, local member, to the position ot lieutenant governor of the southern south-ern Utah Kiwanis district, which took place -at the Utah-Idaho district dis-trict convention in Ogden this week. Mr. Wingate has filled numerous numer-ous positions in the local club, having been a charter member. He has served as president, as director a number of years, and as acting secretary at two different dif-ferent times. His attendance at club meetings has been outstanding. out-standing. Since January 1, he has a record ot" 100 per cent, teing the only club member with a perfect record for the period. . The Springville club was also the recipient of a huge Kiwanis insignia presented during the convention to the club with the highest per cent of club-visitations. The convention was well attended; at-tended; instructive and entertaining entertain-ing according to local members who were in attendance at the various meetings, including, President Pres-ident and Mrs. M. W. Bird, Mr. , and Mrs. J. F. Wingate, Mr. and Mrs. G. Lowry Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Clyde, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Clyde, Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Crandall. |
