Allen, and Merrill Allen have gone to California Cal-ifornia to visit with friends and relatives. oOo Mrs. T. C. Meade of Boulder City, Nevada, and Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Johnson of Richfield, Ida., were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Whiting. Whit-ing. The P.-T. A. met Thursday in the school house. The program, under the direction of Mrs. Les-: Les-: ter Hanson, included a very interesting in-teresting talk on "The Cost of Crime," by the probation officer of the juvenile court, Roy Passey; a piano duet by Misses Arpna Dee and Ann Mae Bird, and a short talk by A. O. Elliot. oOo Mrs. Clifford E. Warner and son, Terry, Have returned to their home in Salt Lake City, after having spent a week with Mrs. Warner's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Whiting. A delightful birthday party was given in honor of Miss Ella Snow at the home of Miss Erma Harmer, Har-mer, Friday evening. The evening eve-ning was spent playing 500. First prize was won by Miss Helen Larsen. The guests were Miss Alene Jensen, Miss Helen Larsen. Miss Marie Haywood of Provo; the guest of honor, and the host- ess. j oOo Mr. and Mrs. David Hopla and ; daughters, LeNore and RaNee, j left for California Friday to visit i with relatives. ! oOo A number of guests enjoyed a midnight supper after the dance Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Allen. oOo The Daughters of the Pioneers met at the home of Mrs. Rose Curtis Thursday afternoon. The history of Mrs. Lillian Ashcraft Synder was given by the hostess, host-ess, the lesson "The Government nf Utah." was given by Mrs. Olive Whiting, and James Curtis. Cur-tis. Elmo Curtis and David Carlton Carl-ton gave three instrumental selections. se-lections. Mrs. Curtis was in charge of the luncheon, assisted by Mrs. Sadie Whiting, Mrs. Orville Jensen, Jen-sen, and Mrs. Emily Jordan.
