With Mapleton as defending champs, far out in front, the M Men swing into a series of four games this week. Mapleton will have to meet the First and Third and victory . will give them the championship this year. First and Third are fighting for the runner-up runner-up position and the winner of this position is doubtful. Last week, the Third'pulled the biggest upset of this year's schedule sched-ule by defeating the First ward 20-19, and thus throwing the two teams into a tie for second place. . The game was hard fought, being be-ing 10 up at the half. J. Miller, W. Miller and Robinson led the winners with Whitney setting up a fine defensive game for the losers. Mapleton defeated the ' Fourth ward by a score of 40-30. It was an interesting game throughout. Gill Nielson led the winners wifh 14 points. L. Rowland and T. Rowland put up a fine defensive game for the losers. In a game played Monday at Mapletol. the Second ward afforded, af-forded, little entertainment for fans, being subdued by the worst score yet made of 71-6. Mendenhall stood out well for the winners with the rest of the team showing up very fine. In a game preceding Saturday night's ' games, the' Springville high school defeated Wasatch at Hyland M Men, of Salt Lake City by the score of 40-22. The scores follow: S.
