Show SOCIETY NEVS Mr. and Mrs. V. A. Smith of Highland, Cat., and Mark Trangott of youth Pagsadena, Cal.. have returned re-turned to their homes after a ten days' visit with Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Harper in this city. Members of the Seagull class of the Kourth ward primary, under un-der the direction of Mrs. Estella Ollerton, entertained at a "Hal-i "Hal-i lowe'cn party Thursday night at I and the second favor by Mrs Amisa Rowland. A large group of First ward members were entertained at a dance and social at the hall, Friday Fri-day night. Hallowe'en decorations decora-tions were arranged about the hall and refreshments were served during dur-ing the everhng. Mrs. Marjorie Bird will be hostess to the Busy Finger club at her home, Thursday afternoon, beginning at 2 o'clock. All members mem-bers are urged to be present. Mrs. Wilford Bianchard, who was recently wed, was honor guest at a miscellaneous shower given in the form of a surprise party, at her home Thursday afternoon. aft-ernoon. The guests enjoyed the time with games and social chat at the close of which a tasty luncheon was served by Mrs Marie Stone and Mrs. John W Bianchard. The guest of honor received a nice assortment of useful gifts. About twenty friends and neighbors were in attendance. The Third ward Primary officers of-ficers and teachers and their husbands hus-bands were delightfully entertained entertain-ed at a social at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Diamond, Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Games and lunch with caps, horns and other novelties suggestive of Hallowe'en, were enjoyed en-joyed by all. About 30 officers, teachers and special guests attended. attend-ed. i the home of Miss Betty Whiting. Games and a luncheon were features fea-tures of the party enjoyed by about fifteen class members. Members of the Jeune Mere club and their husbands were delightfully de-lightfully entertained at a Hallowe'en Hallow-e'en party Wednesday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Pat Parcell in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Mell Haymond were assisting host and hostess. Attractive decorations decora-tions in the predominating colors of orange and black added to the spirit of the occasion. The guests and members also came attired in unique Hallowe'en costumes. In attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Myron' My-ron' Childs, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hughes, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Haymond, Hay-mond, Mr. and Mrs. Vadal Childs, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Nelson the hosts and hostesses. The time was spent playing' progressive 500 for which prizes were awarded to Mr. and Mrs. Vadal Childs. Mrs. Rilla Kelley entertained a number of friends at a quilting at her home Thursday afternoon. ! tertained a large group of school friends at a Hallowe'en party at their home Thursday night. Games and a lunch were enjoyable features fea-tures of the affair. Mrs. Emma Rowland was hostess host-ess to the S. H. clUD at her home, Thursday night. Hallowe'en decorations dec-orations prevailed throughout the entertaining rooms and an artistic color scheme was carried out during dur-ing the luncheon. Each guest was presented with a cap and horn which added to the merriment merri-ment of the occasion. Progressive bridge was the feature of entertainment enter-tainment with high score prize won by Mrs. Harry Pennington Refreshments also were served in conclusion. An outstanding and entertaining entertain-ing social of the past week was the Hallowe'en dinner and program pro-gram given by the officers of the First ward Relief society, Wednesday Wed-nesday evening at the ward hall, in honor of the visiting teachers. The long table was artistically decorated with Hallowe'en colors and motiffs and the same colors were effectively carried out in the dinner. A witch appeared during the course of entertainment and other novelty program numbers added to the spirit of the occasion. The ward bishopric and their partners part-ners were special guests during the evening, as was also Mrs. Phoebe Singleton, who entertained with readings from the Relief society magazine. Camp Aaron Johnson, D. U. P. are scheduled to meet November 21, at the home of Mrs. Jennie Starr, with Mrs. Ethel Loher, Mrs. Ann Harmer, Mrs. Ada Harrison and Mrs. Mae Smith assisting hostesses. Mrs. G. D. Kennedy entertained entertain-ed at a quilting at her home Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon. A dainty luncheon lunch-eon was served to Mrs. Emma Beardall, Mrs. May Bird, Mrs. ! Minerva Weight, Mrs. Lois Clegg and Mrs. Eva Beardall. The Jovelty club members were delightfully entertained at the home of Mrs. Bill Hansen, Friday Fri-day evening. A Hallowe'en color scheme was carried out in room and table decorations and during I the la-sty luncheon served early in ! the evening. Prizes for the eve-! ning's card games were awarded to Mrs. Ann SLcwart and Mrs. Kate Lasson. Mrs. Lasson and Mrs. Lloyd Bird were special guests.
