Show Springville High Faces Crucial Test Friday With S. F. BY TOM LATIMER Friday the Red Devils came back with a bang after being defeated de-feated by Provo 20-6. Springville forward wall completely outplaced their adversaries. Many times they broke through to block a kick or pass. Neither team scored in the first quarter, although Springville had the ball most of the time. In the second quarter the Devils advanced down the field with running run-ning plays until they reached the ten yard line, where a forward pass from Dennison to Rowland put the ball over the goal line. Dennison failed to convert and the score was 6 to 0 at the half. The third quarter was closely contested. The Cavemen trying to use forward passes and end runs to . keep the fighting Devils in check. In the fourth quarter the Red Devils scored twice. A pass from Dennison to Rowland placed Springville in a scoring position. Rowland on an off tackle play brought the pigskin to the one yard line. The next play Rowland took the ball on a line buck through the center of American Fork's line for a score. Springville did not convert, which made the count 12 to 0. American Fork tried to escape a shutout by some sweeping end runs by Richards, quarterback, but Springville stopped stop-ped them on their forty yard line. Dennison made the longest run of the game by an end run for 39 yards. Robinson scored by a line buck. At the end of the game the score was 18 to 0 Springville failing to convert on and end run.
