Show MAPLETON By THOKA WHITING Mrs. Becky Hall, president of the Y. L. M .1. A., entertained the Mutual officers at a party given at her home Friday, Nov. 1. Games were played and luncheon lunch-eon was served to the following Mutual officers: Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Mendenhall, Mr. and Mrs Harold Harmer, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Wil-lis Harmer, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Hol-ley, Hol-ley, Mr. and Mrs. William Whiting, Whit-ing, Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Harmon, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Carol Waters, Mr. and Mrs William T. Tew, Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Nielson, Mrs. Mabel Hansen, Han-sen, Miss Mary Ann Hansen, Miss Virla Whiting ,Miss Melba Hall Miss Thora Whiting, Mrs. Iris Dibble, and the hostess. A very nice time was enjoyed by all. Miss Esther Houtz entertained a group of friends at a chili sup- per, Hallowe'en night. Hallowe'en Hallow-e'en stunts were given and games enj. ,oyed by everyone. The following follow-ing guests attended: Orpha Dee Bird, Colleen Hurst, Donnie Perry, Paul Hansen, Blair Binks, Wanda Holley and the hostess. J The following girl friends were entertained at a Hallowe'en Party given by the Misses Mildred Reyn-I Reyn-I olds and Grace Holley, October 31st: Be mice Johnson, Erma Mendenhall, Men-denhall, lone Nielson, Erma Hoi-j ley, Lou Beal and Velma Olsen ! from Ironton, Delia Houtz and j Naomi Harmer. Dinner was served on an attractively decorated table, and suggestive Hollowe'en hints were all through the house. The girls came in costume and at 11:30 they went to Provo to attend the preview. Miss Berniece Harmer gave a party to a number of girl friends and boy friends Saturday night. Progressive cootie was a feature of the evening's entertainment, with Bill Keele winning high score and Lois Whiting winning the baby prize. A Hallowe'en luncheon was served to the following guests: Lois Whiting, Vena Marshbanks Ruth Whitney, and the hostess from Mapleton, Lucile and Louise Averett from Springville, Frank Robertson, Paul Valgordson, Ralph ( Higginson, Grant Williams, Bill J Keele and Earl Halverson from Spanish Fork, Everyone enjoyed a very lovely time. The Misses June and Beulah Whiting gave a party to the following fol-lowing girl friends: Fern Jensen, Edna Wiscombe, Genevieve and Virginia Bird, Helen Larsen, Vena Marshbanks, Berniece Harmer, lone Bird, Ella Snow, Ema Harmer, Har-mer, Alene Jensen, Lois Whiting, Ruth Whitney, and Phillis Jensen. Dinner was served in the early part of the evening, after which the girls played games with the winners getting prizes. Following the party the girls went "Hallow-e'ening." "Hallow-e'ening." Mr. and Mrs. John I. Holley entertained at a party given to some friends, Wednesday, October 30th. The Misses Mildred Reynolds Reyn-olds and Roderine Davis served dinner to the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Mendenhall, Mr. and Mrs. Richard S. Bird, Mr and Mrs. Oscar Whiting, Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Nielson, Mr. and Mrs L. E. Harmer, and the host and hostess. The guests all had a very delightful time. |
