Show 0. F. WHITNEY SPEAKER AT INFERENCE , r---yVith a record attendance at each session the quarterly conference of the Kolob stake was h-ld here Saturday evening and Sunday. Apostle Orson F. Whitnev represented repre-sented the general authorities and spoke at the Saturday evening meeting which was under the direction di-rection of the priesthood, and also at two general sessions Sunday. President G. R. Maycock p-esided. Speakers Sunday morning were: A. C. Lambert of the B. Y. U., Ralph Childs, Orson Hutchinson, Mrs. Hannah Mendenhall, president presi-dent of the stake Relief society and Mrs. Mac Crandall of the stake Primary. Apostle Whitney's address was on living up to one's church duties and obeying those in authority. Music was under the direction of E. L. Faux. At the afternoon session Apostle Whitney with the stake presidency dedicated the Fourth wind eh-pel, which was begun in 1892 under the leadership of Bishop Joseph Lloynd. The chapel since then has been practically rebuilt, changes being made in 896 and 1902. Bishops of the ward since construction began are Joseph Lloynd. Olhson Condte, G. R. Maycock and Hilton Robertson. Robert-son. Elder Whitney spoke of preparedness prepared-ness in thought and speech And emphasized the proper presentation presenta-tion of material in church addresses ad-dresses at the afternoon meeting. The "M" Men and Gleaner girls of the Mutual Improvement asso-ciation asso-ciation were in charge of the evening eve-ning service at which FJ. E. Knud-sen Knud-sen presided. Selvoy Boyer spoke and each ward furnished one number num-ber on the program. The new M. I. A. stake officers George Simpkins, president, who fills the vacanacy caused hy the resignation of Selvoy Boyer and Joseph Jarvis and Floyd Miner, counselors, were sustained in their offices Sunday afternoon, as was also the new bishopric of the Second Sec-ond ward composed of Bishoji finest Strong, counselors.
