Show FOUR CLUBS LIKELY IN CENTRAL UTAH LEAGUE Eureka And Spanish Out; Await Cavemen Definite Decision From American Fork Wednesday; Provo, Helper and Price Are Enthusiastic Over Outlook. j American Fork Wednesday, and indications in-dications are that the Cavemen will be on hand when the gong rings. Provo, Helper and Price named their league directors as follows: Provo, Otto Birk; Helper, Ralph Jacobshagen; Pice, L. R. Bills. The directors then unanimously re-elected last year's officers, with John E. Booth of Spanish Fork president; John W. McAdam, of Provo, Vice president; Karl Bandley of Provo, treasurer. President Booth appointed appoint-ed Bob Goodell of Prbvo as league secretary. May Open May 18 The Wilson Coat league hall wrv unanimously adopted as the of f i ial bnll for the coming season, and opening dates fc the four clubs were tentatively set, with Helper to meet Price at Price on May 18, and Provo opposing American Fork May 21. The customary split season sea-son was planned, with the-first half to end approximately June 29. j American Fork, Provo, Price and Helper these four teams are the probable nietr.beis of the Central Utah league this season. This much became evident at Monday night's league meeting, held at Spanish Fork. Helper, Price. Provo, Eureka and Spanish Fork were represented at the meeting, while American Fork 1 comnUinicated with the league of- ' ficials by telephone. Kurelta Out of It Jake Kline reported that Eureka, a member of the league for many ' years, must drop out this season, at i least during the first half, and Fen- ' ton Reeve of Spanish Fork declared that sentiment in the southern section sec-tion of the county appears luke- warm at present. Other prospects were much brighter. Provo, Helper and Price repotted that they were eager for action, and that a four-club league, with American Fork included, met j with unanimous favor. No definite action has yet been taken by American Fork, according to word received from that city, but the Lions' club is expected to sponsor spon-sor baseball in that city, and def- ! inite word is being awaited by the ' league before schedule-making, admission ad-mission price and gate percentage ! agreements can be decided upon.
