Show SOCIETY NEVS A talk on art was given by J. F. Wingate of the high school before the members of the Home Culture club who were entertained Saturday Satur-day afternoon at the home of Mrs. C. F. Packard. Miss Helen Fox entertained with a vocal solo, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Selvoy Boyer at the piano, and Mrs. J. F. Wingate J gave a report of the recent state convention held in (Salt Lake. Following Fol-lowing the program a dainty lunch-con lunch-con was served by the hostess to 17 members present. The Daughters of the Pioneers C.mp No. 2 will hold their regular meeting of this month at the home of Mr,;. Rhoda Dougall Thursday, May 8.-. A nice program is being arranged! in which Mrs. Hattie Blackett will give the life history of her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Giles, a pioneer of this community. All members are tivged to be present. Thc Ladies Literary club of this city were entertained Saturday afternoon aft-ernoon by Mrs. Lawrence Maycock at tho home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Booth in Provo. An entertaining en-tertaining program was given in which Mrs. Burton Groesbeck gae the life history of the Russian short story write, Tolstoy, and also gave one of his stories entitled, "Neglect a Fire and It Spreads." In addition addi-tion a splendid musical program was given by Miss Melda Farley who sang several songs in Spanish, accompanied by Mrs. lone Heaton I of Provo. Luncheon was served at I 2:30 by the hostess to guests Mrs. J E. Booth, Mrs. J. E.
