Show BOYER FAMILY HOLD REUNION IN 2ND. WARD Descendants of the late Catherine Cather-ine Houtz Boyer, met in reunion last Thursday evening, at the Second Sec-ond ward hall. Charles Boyer was elected permanent chairman of the family organization; Oscar Bayer, secretary and treasurer, and Mary Boyer, historian. A banquet was served eat i y in the evening. P. O. Boyer of Salt Lake gave the welcome address; Mrs. Tressa P. Lowback of Nevada responded.- Short talks on various phases of the Boyer family history were given during the program by Thclma B. Carter, Myron A. Boyer, E. M. Boyer, R. L. Mendenhall and D. A. Boyer of Salt Lake. John S. Boyer paid tribute to Mrs. Col est io Boyer of this city, oldest living memtaer of the tamily and presented her with a beautiful bououet in behalf of the family.. A poeiu entitled "Paths of Life," which Mrs. Boyer had composed and presented to each of her children, chil-dren, was read by her son Charles. A tribute to Grandmother written by Harold loyer, oalt Lake, was read by her daughter, Mrs. Frank Salisbury. Other program numbers num-bers included, duet, Fox sisters; original poem, dedicated to Mrs. Boyer, read by Mrs. Claire S. Boyer of Salt Lake; violin solo, Louise Boyer; reading, Ma rjorie Boyer ; stunts, Beryl Boyer. The party concluded with dancing. |
