Tho musical numbcis, both instrumental instrument-al and vocal, will be the productions produc-tions of French composers, and the vecal numlicrs, which will be rendered ren-dered by lack Cherrington and Miss Mar;,jei:Le Sears, will be sung in F ench. The class will-sing will-sing in French "La Marseillaise," the nation song of France and the French flag will be on display. Thirty-eight students are enroled enrol-ed in the Ficnch classes this year, and all are exhibiting a marked interest in-terest in the language. An interesting inter-esting phase of "their study js a correspondence which has been established es-tablished between members of tho classes and French, students in various part's of France, who are studying English. From these letters let-ters the students, are procuring an insight into French" life, customs, and ideals which It ,would be impossible im-possible to get in any other way except by uctual contact. They are also learning that French .students are having the same difficulties learning the English tongue that they are having :n mastering the French. Postcard view3, newspapers news-papers and magazines are also exchanged, ex-changed, and the class is subscribing subscrib-ing regularly for a little French magazine "Le Petit Journal," which brings them first-hand a brief review of the French press ' the life, studies, arts, politics and i sports of this most interesting' country.
