Show COUNTY NURSE; RETURNS FROM EUROPE TRIP I After touring Europe and North America, for more than two months during which time she attended several health contentions, Evalina Reed, Utah county health unit nurse returned to her home in Provo Thursday evening. Leaving Provo early in June, Mrs. Reed attended the annual American Nurse and the national 01 ganization of Public Health Nurses convention held in Milwaukee. She then went lo Montreal, Canada, where she attended at-tended another convention. She saJed from Montreal on June 20 on the S. S. Andania and after ten days landed in England. Ice bergs in the straits of the Bell': Isle delayed the shipSLverai duyc- After visiting England and Belgium, Bel-gium, Mrs. Reed attended the in-Lernational in-Lernational Health Congress at Dresden, Germany. The health exhibit ex-hibit at this congress was very remarkable re-markable Mrs. Reed declared. Following the congress she visited visit-ed Holland and later took a journey up the Rhine river, visjting Wiest-baden Wiest-baden and Heidelberg in Germany. From there she went to Oberam-rnergau Oberam-rnergau where she witnessed the Passion play. Mrs. Reed declared that the play was wonderful, and that the cast selected represented the New Testament characters in a wonderful way. Mrs. Rt'Jd later visited Switzerland Switzer-land and Italy, arriving in Naples two days after the great eart'iqu-ike in that city. Rome and other Italian Ital-ian cities were visited. Mrs. Reed was not favorably impressed im-pressed with France declaring that the tourists were overcharged at every turn She visiied several American Am-erican cemeteries and reported that they were well taken care of. |
