Parents of the youth are also preparing to file a suit against a life insurance company to collect a death claim which has not been paid because the policy had not been delivered prior to his death. JURY ACQUITS FLOYD CLOWARD Santaquin Man Is Freed On Charges of Involuntary Manslaughter. Floyd Clovvard- oi Santaquin was acquitted of involuntary manslaughter man-slaughter charges, Friday night when a jury returned a verdict of not guilty at the conclusion of his trial in the district court. j The jury deliberated a little more than four hours in reaching its ve.- 1 diet returning to- the court room at 5:30 Friday evening. The charges against Cloward grew out of an automobile, accident near Santaquin, April 19, in which j Clifford Bennet, 19, of Genola, wan i killed, several others injured and three cars wrecked. Cloward was represented in the trial by Samuel A. King and Karl King of Salt Lake and R. W. Mc-Mullen Mc-Mullen of Payson. District Attorney Attor-ney M. B. Pope was in charge of the prosecution. A long list of officers of-ficers and eye-witnesses of the accident ac-cident testified during the trial which occupied several days in |
