Whiting, member of the city council, was elected mayor of Springville Tuesday, carrying with him the entire en-tire Non-Partisan ticket; His majority over that of Dr. George A. Anderson, incumbent, was 122. In the race for four-year-term councilman, Loo G. Robertson won over J. L. Phillips. Both are now members mem-bers of the council; Three two-year-term councilmen were elected as follows: fol-lows: G. L. Dallin, incumbent; Ernest Strong and W. J. Phillips.. These won over V. W. Clyde, J. L. Whiting, find Vern Crandall. , i, Harry Pennington, present city recorder, drew the largest larg-est number of votes in the local election. His vote was 978 as against 307 cast for his opponent,' G. L. Crandall. Eliza Russell, for many years city treasurer, was beaten by a slight majority by Zella Carter. : : : : . . . |
