Show ! SOCIETY NEVS Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Sclywn and son and daughter of San Diego arc visiting their grandmother, Mrs. Jane Safford at the home of Mr. ! and Mrs. John Robertson. Miss Mary Childs is visiting with Miss Elsie Hogan and other friends in Salt Lake. She was accompanied ac-companied to thc city Monday by Mrs. Emma Beardall. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Wright'a.nd children of Price spnt several diys this week as guests of Mr. and Mi s. John A. Strong. Mr Wright is a teacher at the Price hish school. Miss Jeanne Neill, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. G. G. Neill is spending spend-ing the week with friends and relatives rela-tives at Fish Lake and Itichfcild. Dr. and Mrs. G. G. NeilJ have had as guests at their home during thc past week Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Bcal of Rexburg, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. George Pace of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. H. K. Neill of Richfield. In honor of John Scott who has arrived here from Mansfield, O., to attend the annual reunion of thc Scott family to be held at Vivian park, Aug. 22, 23 and 24, Mr. and Mrs. Sol Clyde of this city entertained enter-tained at a nicely arranged dinner at their home Sunday. Covers were laid for 22 guests including Mr. Scott, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Roberts and family of Provo, Mr. and Mr.;. Eldon Clyde of Payson. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Evans of Spanish Fork, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clements and Miss Dorotha Beardall, Miss Donna Don-na Avcrett and Miss Mildred Ostler of this city. , Miss Kate M. Hik- ing was the main feature of entertainment enter-tainment with swimming, bonfire : parties, picnics, etc. Participating j in the delightful affair were Misscss Dona Salisbury, Molly Bird, Loya INielseo of this city and Misses Ada Birch, Ada Haslcr, Fay Allied, Eunice Eu-nice Bird, Wilma Hansen, Ruth Clark, Pauline Bennett, Nita Wakefield. The Women's Missionary society of the Springville Community church will give a missionary tea at the home of Ivlrs. W. L. Grooms at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday, Aug. 2G. Mrs. M. H. Frank of Wooster, O.. lEucst of her son. the Rev. H. L. Wilson will be the honor guest. A talk by Mrs. Frank will be a special spe-cial feature of the program Tvhich will include a reading and musical musi-cal numbers. This is thc first meeting of the society this season and a cordial invitation is extend- ; ed to all members and friends to attr.-id. Mrs. L. M. Gillilan, president, presi-dent, will be in charge. Dr and Mrs Wallace Mace of Salt Lake wore week end guesis at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Knudsen. Mrs. Mace is spending the week with Mrs. Knudsen and ether friends and relatives here. Miss Loya Nielson of this city was hostess to thc members of the Val Norn social unit of the B. Y. U. at her home Monday evening. The meeting was held to outline plans for a tea to be given In Provo Friday Fri-day evening. At the conclusion of the meeting light refreshments, were ser ved by thc hostess to about 16 girls present. Members of tho Seott family will hold a reunion at Vivian park m Provo canyon, Aug. 22. 23 and 21. Relatives are urged to attend.
