Show Fabian To Quit As Committeeman SALT LAKE CITY, April 23 (U.R) Politics, " which has been singularly singu-larly quiescent, showod some faint signs of life in Utf.ih today as Republican Re-publican party le-nleis were discussing dis-cussing t'ne possible successor of Harold P. Fabian, Republican national na-tional committeeman, who formally form-ally announced in Washington yesterday yes-terday that he will not seek reelection re-election at the state convention in Ogden, May 7. Outstanding candidate providing provid-ing he wants the job is, of course, Ernest Bamberger, Salt Lake capitalist cap-italist who held ,the post for eight years and was twice the republican nominee for United States Senate. Others w'no are prominently mentioned men-tioned include F. R. Callister, president pres-ident of the affiliated Republican clubs of Utah, and A. B. Irvine, former president of the state senate. |
