Show 2 DELEGATIONS ASK FOR ROADS Delegations from the taxpayers of Payson and from Vineyard, met with the Utah county commissioners commission-ers Monday, asking for aid on road projects in their districts. The Vineyard delegates, Vern Williams, John A. Johnston, F. M. Holdaway and John Goode, asked that the county make a through road from the Vineyard road to a road going through to Pleasant Grove. There is only one, -road for half a mile at the present time going north and south through to the road on the north, the delegation stated. A half-mile extension would be needed to join the two roads with a cross-road, the. men declared. The Payson delegation presented a petition signed by Payson taxpayers tax-payers asking that the road in the west section of Payson be graveled. The commissioners took both matters under advisement. They will go over the projects this week to estimate probable costs and the advisability of undertaking the projects. |
