Show CONFERENCE AT SPANISH FORK SPANISH FORK Elder Rudger Clawson, president of the Quorum of the Twelve represented the general gen-eral authorities at the quarterly conference of the Palmyra stake held Saturday evening and Sunday. President H. A. Gardner was in charge of the three sessions and delivered the opening address. The other speakers were John Naylor, returned missionary; Bishop Clarence Clar-ence Neslen, Salt Lake; G. Ray : Hales of the stake presidency and President Clawson. The attendance was the largest since the division of the stake more than 1100 being present. It was found necessary to install loud speakers for the overflow crowd. The music was furnished by a choir from all the ward;;, directed by Mrs. Ruth Snoli; a vocal trio, Gladys Williams, Hannah Vick-lund Vick-lund ond Helen Ilnlw; Uil- Third ward double mixed ijtiai'ieL, led by Agne:3 Hales. The evening session was given ovlt to the M. I. A. Keed Bradford and Doris Huff, winners in the M. I. A. public speaking for the "M" Men and Gleaner yirls, ave their speeches on the M. I. A. slogan; Miss Phyllis Livingstone, J unior girl, gave her retold story. Members Mem-bers of the Leland ward gave an oiiginal play on the M. I. A. slogan. Mrs. Hobor McKcll sang a solo, and Frank Swenson played a cornet solo. Superintendent M. R. Taylor was in charge of the meeting. President |
