Show C. T. MARTAIN PASSES AWAY Charles T. Martaln, 72. well known Springville citizen, died at the family home on East Center-street Center-street Tuesday morning from pneumonia, pneu-monia, following a short illness. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Millie Martain, and seven children: Mrs. Amy Meciiam, Mrs. Maud Ogden and Jack Martain. Mrs. Mary Reed, all of Springville, and Mrs. Haroldeen Ra.smusen. Mrs. Gwen Vincent, Mrs. Emily Jensen, of Provo, and 14 grandchildren. , Mr. Martain was "oorn August 22, 1859, in Hartford, Conn. He spent his early life in Denver, Colorado, following the bakery trade. He came to Utah 40 years ago in the employ of the Bell Telephone company com-pany and was at one time chairman chair-man of the Farmer-Labor party in the state. He was an active worker in the L. D. S. church. Services will be held Friday at 2 p. m. in the Springville Fourth ward. Interment will be in the Evergreen cemetery. |
