Show MAPLETON MAN LAID AT REST WEDNESDAY Funeral services for August Peterson, 72, who died at his home in Mapleton Sunday morning were held In the-Mapleton ward chapel Wednesday afternoon with Richard Bird of- the ward bishopric in charge. . , The opening prayer was offered by Bishop Loren A. Nielsen. The speakers were John H. Manwaring, U E. Harmer and Bishop R. L. Mendenhall. The opening musical numbers were furnished by Albert South-ivick South-ivick of Salt Lake. A cornet duet was given by Richard Loveridge and Richard Oakley. Freeman Bird and Golden Taylor furnished two yical duets. The benediction was by C. W. Houtz. The dedicatory prayer at; the Evergreen cemetery was by William Holley. Mr. Peterson was born December Decem-ber 14, 1859, in Sweden, and came (. eto this country with his parents, y Magnus and Ingre Swenson Peterson; Peter-son; when he was two years of ftgev The family settled in Springville. Spring-ville. Mr. Peterson moved to Ma-pleton-42 years ago and had since -Resided there. - His wife, Emmi ' W. Peterson, preceded him" in' death. Surviving are one son, Lester Peterson, Salt Lake; four daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Azua Whiting, Manti; Mrs, M. L. Wadell, Driggs, Idaho; Mrs. ' Myrtle Bird and Josephine Peterson, Mapleton; twenty-four grandchildren also survive. |
