Show Qiicago Man Dies At Springville Dr. Joseph William Carpenter, 50 of Chicago, 111., died in a Springville Spring-ville hospital Friday evening following fol-lowing a paralytic stroke. Dr. Carpenter was driving from Long Beach, Calif., to Chicago and became ill in Beaver canyon, according ac-cording to a statement made by City Marshall Frank Cellventru. Ho was removed to a tourist camp in Springville, and was taken to the Springville hospital Wednesday Wednes-day evening. The traveller served as a surgeon during the World war and was passed. He had been in ill health ever since, according to his story to Marshall Cellvcntra. Surviving are a daughter in Chicago Chi-cago and a niece in Long Beach. Funeral arrangements arc pending word from the relatives. |
