Show MENDENHALL .! FAMILY HOLD BIG REUNION I i Approximately 300 descendants ; of the late William and Sarah j Lovell Mcndenhall assembled at Kclley's Grove in Hobble Creek j canyon, for their annual reunion Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Arranging camp and a general handshake, occupied the time of those assembled Friday. On Satur- i day the principal features of the j reunion took place. A pageant, composed by Aaron Mendenhall, depicting historical everts in the lives of the Mendenhall Menden-hall ancestors, was given under the direction of Mrs; Hannah Clyde, of the program committee. This feature, probably the outstanding out-standing number of the program, portrayed the life of Sarah and Lovell Mcndenhall from the time they lived at Sugar Loaf farm in Delaware in 1843, until they reached reach-ed their home in Utah in 1852. Various Va-rious events in the life history of these pioneers were employed as a motif for the pageant.. Mr. Mendenhall, Men-denhall, having visited the farm and other historical places in the lives of his grandparents, while on his mission in the eastern states, was able to add much color and realism to the performance. The early ancestors of this family fam-ily were Quakers and the original Quaker wedding of Aaron and Rose Pierson Mcndenhall, enacted by the tiny boys and girls of the families, called forth considerable comment from the large audience assembled. Grant Clyde, Gwendolyn Gwen-dolyn Mendenhall, W. K. Johnson, Jr., Harvey Mendenhall, Miss Alberta Al-berta Mendenhall and S. L. Mendenhall, Men-denhall, Jr., were the principal characters in the pageant-Preceding pageant-Preceding the program sports for children and grownups were featured.
