Show COUNTY HEADS DENY REQUESTS Utah county commissioners Monday denied the petition of a-group a-group of citizens adjacent to thel Vineyard ward church who requested, re-quested, that a street light be placed in front of the church. Since the cement road was installed in-stalled the street has become a speedway and dangerous to pedestrians pe-destrians going to their parked cars there' at nights. The commissioners, Hilton A. Robertson, J. VV. Gillman and C. H. White denied the petition on the grounds that it is a secondary second-ary road and placing a light there would establish a precedent that the county funds would not allow them to follow. The commissioners also turned down a petition by persons from Cedar Fort, Fairfield, Mercur, Ophir and other phases, asking that an old road from Cedar Fort-Fairfield to Manning be reestablished. re-established. The road would shorten the distance four and one-half miles and would avoid the large snowdrifts prevalent on the other road, they set forth in the petition. |
