Show SOCIETY- NBVS Members of the N. I. P. club i were delightfully entertained Saturday Sat-urday evening at the home of Miss Lois Blanchard. A well arranged and delicious luncheon was served early in the evening followed by the game progressive "rook." Mrs. Clara Childs was awarded high score prize. Present were the following fol-lowing ladies: Mrs. Fred Kindred, Kin-dred, Miss Hilda Clegg, Miss Luella Straw, Mrs. Max Packard, Ivi.vs. Clara Childs, Mrs. Audrey Jensen, Mrs. Thelma Havmer of Fayson, the latter being an invited guest. Miss Luella Straw will be hostess j to the ladies of the N. I. P. club at the next meeting which is scheduled sched-uled for Saturday, April 12. The Daughters of the Pioneers, Camp No. 2, will be entertained at their regular monthly meeting on April 10 at the home of Mrs. Elsie Condie. A fine program is being arranged in which the life history of the two pioneers, I. E. Clegg and G. S. Condie will be given by their daughter's, Mrs. G. R. Maycock and Mrs. Condie, respectively. Other numbers on the program will be given by descendants of these two families. Following chorus practice at the home of Mrs. Julia .Sumsion Saturday Satur-day evening the girls of the Third ward Gleaner class spent a delightful delight-ful time at a candy pull. Those present included the hostess, Mrs. Julia Sumsion, who is also accompanist accom-panist for the chorus; Mrs. Isabel Brown, director, and the following members. Misses Helen and Virginia Vir-ginia Eggertson, Miss Marion Groesbeck, Miss Ruth Johnson, Misses Mae and Loya Nielson, Miss lone Tuckett, Miss Edna Russell, Miss Margaret Bird. Honoring Mrs. Winn Harrison on her birthday anniversary which occurred Wednesday, Mar. 26, a number of relatives delightfully surprised her at the family home. A pleasant evening of social chat and music was spent by . all and many pretty gifts were received by the guest of honor. In conclusion a delicious luncheon was served to the following people present: Mrs. George Noakcs, Mr. and Mrs. Will HarviEpn, Mr. and Mrs. George Smith, .Mi', and Mrs. George Harrison, Harri-son, Mrs. L. Howard Law and Mr. and Mrs. Winn Harrison. t Don Knight with his daughter, Mrs. Etta Grotto of Caliente, Nov., were guests during the week end of Mrs. Grotto's grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Giles and other relatives here. Mrs. M. R. Straw was hostess Friday Fri-day afternoon to the members of the Alpha Beta club. An especially interesting' review of the book "Alexander's Bridge," was given by Mrs. Mae Huntington, followed by vocal solos by Miss Catherine R. Dougall and piano solos by Miss Margery Straw. ' A well arranged dinner party was given by Mr. and Mrs. Sol Clyde at their home Sunday with the following people as special guests: Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Thorpe, and children, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Clyde, Mrs. Tom Averett. all of this city, and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Houser of Payson. The time after dinner was spent with music and social chat. Prominent among the social events of the week was the birthday birth-day dinner given Monday evening by Mrs. A. W. Harmer at her home in compliment to her husband. The long dining table was centered with a beautiful basket of violets i and a large birthday cake added t to the attractiveness of the decora-1 decora-1 tive scheme.
