Show Provo Man Is Globe Trotter KV) Kp KNp Kp Hvp rCJ rC) Recounts Unique Experiences Kilton Stewart, formerly of this city, was a Provo visitor last week on his way to his home in Salt Lake City after making- a trip around the world. Stewart left his home early last summer without any money. Hitchhiking Hitch-hiking his way to the west coast he obtained a job on a ship working his way to the Philippine Islands. Here he worked several weeks in a sugar refinary paying his way to China. From there he went to India, then to Egypt. From Egypt he traveled through ' continental Europe spending several weeks in France and other countries. Getting a job on the steamship George Washington, he worked his way to New York where he spent several months. He then took a trip up to Montreal, Canada, visiting visit-ing several of the places where he labored as an L. D. S. missionary some years ago. He later returned to New York and hitch-hiked his way across tho continent. "I quite enjoy being broke," Kay declared. "When I have money I feel quite worldly. I don't mind working when I have to," he continued. con-tinued. Kilton has kept a diary of his adventures which he is planning to put in book form. During the past year he has visited almost every country in the world and has had many interesting experiences. |
