Sringville lihrnry, Saturday night. About forty farmers were pres- ent and discussed the proposition! of growing the peas and agreed to 1 help secure the necessary acreage this season. Mr. Cnmdnll stated that the necessary nec-essary equipment and machinery for the factory had been ordered and thr.t the vineries .would be up in plenty of time to take care or the shelling. The farmers of the community have been asking the local factory to take this step ever since the pea canning business revived after the slump imniediately following the war. The pea vines are fertilizing fer-tilizing and seem to be one of the best crops used in the rotation for building up the soil beside paying a good profit. It was announced that the contracts con-tracts were ready and farmers could begin signing up acreage immediately. |
